Dear Neighbor,

Thank you for your interest in having your creative work represented at The Next Chapter Books and More. We will be located at 1147 Hancock St. Quincy, MA. We are an indie bookstore with a highly-curated selection - including books and unique items created by local artists and authors. We will also have a dedicated gallery and program space where we will celebrate creativity and the literary, visual, and performing arts.

We invite you to submit any work you feel will be a good fit for The Next Chapter Books and More.

A consignment relationship involves both the creator and the bookstore, so we meet the goal of achieving recognition and sales of your work. Please review and complete the form that follows if you would like to open the dialogue about a collaboration with The Next Chapter Books and More.

• Distribution details - where to order and terms of sale (discount, shipping charges, etc.)
• Local / national marketing plans 
• Other outlets carrying your item
• Ideas for working with the bookstore on marketing and selling your work 

After we have had a chance to review your work, we’ll be in touch to let you know if we believe we would be a successful outlet for your work. At that time, we will schedule an appointment to see your work, share ideas, complete the consignment contract and schedule delivery of your work.

Discounts — The Next Chapter Books and More follows the industry standard of 60/40 split, where 60% of the retail sale price is payable to the author/artisan. For non-book merchandise please let us know your suggested retail price

Trial period — The Next Chapter Books and More will initially carry an item for three months. The sales volume will determine whether the item remains in inventory after the trial period

Restocking — We’ll monitor sales and reorder as necessary

Returns — If we feel we have excess inventory or if sales decline, we’ll be in touch to ask you to stop by to pick up your items (or pay for return shipping). Items not picked up will be donated to a charity of our choice.

Payments — The bookstore will mail you payment quarterly for items sold. Note that any amount due under $20 will be issued as a The Next Chapter Books and More gift card. Checks will be processed by the 15th of the month following the end of the quarter (April, July, October & January).
